Recruitment of the WorldSkills London 2011 project team is
ongoing and will eventually be made up of approximately 30 members
of staff each bringing with them their specialist skills to ensure
that WorldSkills London 2011 is a big success.
Aidan Jones, Executive Director

At the beginning of October 2008, Aidan Jones was appointed as
Executive Director for WorldSkills London 2011. Aidan has
worked for many years in the not for profit sector, both in the UK
and internationally. Most recently, he was the Executive Director
for the 21st World Scout Jamboree that took place in Chelmsford in
2007.
Following Aidan's appointment, we are pleased to have the
following Directors now in post:
Jonathan
Hurford-Potter, Administration and Finance Director

Jonathan Hurford-Potter qualified as a Chartered Management
Accountant in 1989 and since then has worked for HM Treasury, the
National Audit Office and Vospers/GEC Marine to name but a few.
Prior to joining WorldSkills London 2011, Jonathan was seconded to
the tri-Service military pay project, managing the financial
aspects of an £8bn payroll and HR system.
Sarah Moss, Communications Director

Sarah Moss is a marketing and communications professional with
over 12 years' national and international experience across the
voluntary, public and private sectors at organisations like the
National Blood Service, STA Travel and RNID (the national charity
for deaf and hard of hearing people).
Ross Maloney, Operations Director

Ross Maloney has a degree in Information Management and has
performed a number of roles in the third sector, including:
planning and delivery of management information systems projects
and delivery of major national events. Most recently, Ross worked
for The Scout Association where he headed up the Activities and
International Affairs department.
Michael
Osbaldeston, Partnership Director

Early in 2009, Michael Osbaldeston was offered an opportunity to
be seconded to the WorldSkills London 2011 project team as
Partnership Director, from his role as Group Brand Manager at the
City & Guilds Group. As partnership director, he is responsible
for ensuring maximum engagement across a wide range of
stakeholders.
Peter Davies, Technical Director

Peter Davies is an events and project management professional
with a wide range of experience. He has worked at a number of
British festivals including Glastonbury and V. He was also involved
in the Queen's Golden Jubilee Concerts in 2002 and has worked for
high profile clients such as Vodafone, Ford and Telstra.
