WorldSkills London 2011 will be the inspiration thousands of young people need to explore their options. It will help and inspire young people to better understand how skills can shape their world.
All UK schools, colleges and training providers are encouraged to get involved. This is a great opportunity to inspire your students to explore their options and consider how education and training could help them achieve their dreams and build their develop their skills and expertise and we're developing lots of ways to do this up and down the Country.
We're designing an exciting education plan that will give you lots of ways to get involved throughout WorldSkills London 2011 - in the run up, during and after the event - we want all schools, colleges and training providers to take part up and down the country. How did you get involved in your skill?
I've always had a passion for mechanics and I wanted to learn as much as possible about working with materials like metal and plastic. That is what motivated me to learn about computer numerically controlled (CNC) turning.
