Thank you for all your support in the four months since the new
WorldSkills London 2011 website launched. We are getting more
visitors each month and initial feedback has been good. However, we
want to constantly evolve and improve the site and we have just
added even more content and functionality.
The new items include 'Visit London', where we now have videos,
articles and information on tourist attractions. We are working
with Visit London on this page and in the
future to ensure that visitors to the Competition have the best
possible experience in London. We also now have a page for one of
our most important audiences, schools and colleges. This will continue to
develop over the next six months until we have a portal with all
the information that teachers will need to get the most out of
their visit to WorldSkills London 2011. In addition, we have video
clips of every single skill performed at WorldSkills Calgary 2009,
which will help young people understand more about each skill and
see it in action.
Our new flags game is adding more fun to our site, hopefully
engaging the competitive spirit that WorldSkills is famous for and
providing us with some insights about our audience's allegiances
along the way!
Our social media presence is also just beginning. Why not become
a fan of WorldSkills London 2011
on Facebook? Could you write a post for our brand new blog?
You, our stakeholders, partners and sponsors are so important in
helping us raise awareness for this fantastic event and helping us
generate the enthusiasm about it that it deserves, so please help
us to spread the word!
