Aircraft maintenance technicians maintain, repair, service, install and test components of aircrafts and aircraft systems.

Aircraft maintenance technicians analyse and investigate structural, mechanical or hydraulic systems on aircrafts to identify problems and adjust systems in accordance with processes, procedures and best practice. They can modify and repair aircraft engines and dismantle frames, systems and the engine for overhaul, cleaning and rebuilding, as well as more routine jobs like maintenance and maintenance documentation.

Aircraft maintenance is a popular career choice and technicians are employed by airlines, specific maintenance contracts and even a country's airforce.
